New Secretary
 
I would like to introduce to the club our new secretary, Miss Jennifer Moses. Also new to the club, she will be a fine addition to the club. We welcome Jen!!!!

New Publicist
 
I would like to introduce our new publicist, Mr. Brent Jenkins. He is new to the club this year and we expect great things from him. He will be providing all the publicity for the club; from getting the word out about club functions to fundraisers and so on. WELCOME!!! 

New Treasurer

 

I would like to announce our new treasurer, Alex Schultz. He will be taking care of our club account, expenses, providing assistance in fundraising, and a lot more. An awesome addition to the 82 Team. WELCOME!!!!

New Officer

 

I would like to announce our new co-webmaster and forum administrator, Jesse Cruz. He will be assisting the club with our online encounters including our website. He has already created our online forum, which can be found at http://nahschess.proboards62.com. WELCOME!!!!

Welcome Freshman!!!!

We are glad to have the addition of the class of 2010. We hope that all members feel that they are no less of a player than anyone else on the team. Do not be shy. We welcome all players with open arms and a chess board ready to be played upon. So again.... WELCOME Class of 2010!!!

New Sponser
 
We welcomed our new club sponser and coach, Mr. Michael Young; having our first meeting in November 2005.

First Fundraiser!!

The chess club had their first fundraiser in January 2006. Having a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament. The club raised $80. Congrats to the SSBM champion, David Medina. Expect more video game challenges in the future.

First Tournament

"8 Squared" had their first scrimmage against the Plymouth-Whitemarsh chess team.

Video Game Challenge Returns!!!!!
 
That's right kids... the moment you have been waiting for has arrived... the chess club has decided to resurrect the video game challenge that you all know and love. This year we'll have monthly tournaments so there are more chance to win. Our first video game challenge is for Super Smash Brothers Melee. It will take place on February 13-15, 2007 after school. There will be a singles and a doubles competition. So spread the word now. Registration forms will be available soon.

All players are welcome to attend the Main Line Chess Club - about 15-20 minutes from Norristown on Tuesday nights - we have G/75 USCF-rated games, but if you need to leave early due to school you can request at G/45 game: More info:
